My name is Alan Spratley. I am a freelance web designer and Flash actionscript programmer based in London. I have been designing and building websites for over 10 years. I have a background in the arts and studied A level Art and Photography before going on to attain a diploma in web design from Oxford House College.
I began working on corporate web sites and in 2001 I won the Jack Welch ELFUN of the year for my work on GE Insurance Holdings’ community web site. Since then I have worked freelance. I enjoy working freelance as it gives me the opportunity to work on many different projects and meet different people. It also gives me flexibility and allows me to meet tight deadlines. I am competent with most web and graphics software as well as hand coding XHTML, CSS and PHP. I am also an experienced Adobe Flash™ designer/programmer and can produce anything from simple animations to full blown flash websites and games.
